We arrived in this part of Le Marche because of an excellent language school that we wanted to visit in Urbania, a beautiful little Renaissance town

9 k from our house. It is a little town, about 7000 inhabitants, and transforms during the summer months because many students from all over the world and especially from the States come to study here including some 50 opera singers. We loved it and decided to buy an old house, which turned out to be a 700 year old ruin which we lovingly restored during 7 years. In 2009 the house was completed.

The house has four appartments, each with its own entrance. It Totals 210 m2.  The appartments consist of one or two bedrooms, a kitchen-livingroom and a bedroom, fully equipped of course. Our gas heater was renewed in 2022 and the house is very well isolated (roof, walls, windows). It is cool in the summer months and contains its warmth in winter. Each room can be individually heated. 

A beautiful garden with lots of roses and lavender surrounds the house. We also have an orchard with olives and fruit trees. The property includes 1,73 acres including more than an acre of forest.

We have our own well for the water supply and our own wood supply.  There are endless walks in a beautiful nature surrounding our house, but in less than 15 minutes you can be in two historical towns with all amenities. You can choose from 5 supermarkets nearby and the little town of Peglio has a  small grocery shop. It's a nice walk  and you can have a cup of coffee before returning

In winter there might be some snow, but never for a long period of time. Usually it's gone in a couple of days. A farmer, Franco, clears the road to our house if necessary. 

For art lovers Urbino is the town to be, The famous palace and paintings by Rafael, Titiaan and many others draw visitors from all over the world.
